I first began to explore my love of photography by documenting the streets of San Francisco with a cantankerous ol’ camera and an insatiable curiosity. Candid photography is a true passion of mine and my "eye for the moment" I owe to the daily practice of observing and capturing the fleeting, artful happenings that ebb and flow around us everyday. Street photography naturally transitioned into photographing other dynamic environments such as weddings and events with the same approach as my candid street work. I feel this element of my portfolio is what sets me apart from other professional event and wedding photographers.

To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place. I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them

It is a peculiar part of the good photographer’s adventure to know where luck is most likely to lie in the stream, to hook it, and to bring it in without unfair play and without too much subduing it.
